USA Team Handball Energised And Raring To Go!
The 2022 USA Team Handball College and Youth National Championships took place in April in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
The event was streamed, for the first time, exclusively on Joymo.
The College and Youth National Championships have been a feature on the US handball calendar for 25 years, although previously they were held as separate events; one College National Championship and one Youth National Championship.
This year marked a return of the College and Youth National Championships following a 2 year break due to Covid.

This is the biggest U23 handball event in the USA, with 17 teams across 3 divisions; those being: Men's College, Women's College and Men's Youth participating.
39 games were streamed, with audiences tuning in from the likes of California, New York, Texas and Ohio, as well as from other parts of the world namely Denmark, Germany, Chile, The United Kingdom and Spain, to name a few.
“The creation of a College Conference [league] this year was a focused attempt at giving even more competitive opportunities for our college teams. Ideally this conference will serve as an inspiration and blueprint to create even more college leagues and tournaments across the US”, says Ryan Johnson, USA Team Handball CEO.

“We are very excited to energise our national level youth development efforts with a championship level event like this”;growing handball at the collegiate level is a big priority for USA Team Handball”, he adds.
Joymo Partnership Development Manager Torill Lunde says; “This was a big event and we're glad that all went well and that we were able to get viewers from all over the world tuning in, lots of tickets were sold, and we’re hoping that this will be the first of many."
