Joymo and SOCS partner to launch SOCS TV and revolutionise sports streaming for over 1,200 schools

Game-changing partnership to deliver a secure, safeguarded, high-quality content management system for the global education sector.

SOCS, a trusted leader in school sports and co-curricular management for 25 years, has selected Joymo, the leading direct-to-consumer live video platform for sports rights holders, to develop and build SOCS TV - a pioneering streaming and content management system for the UK and global education sector.

SOCS TV is set to launch this month, providing schools with a secure, high-quality content management system to broadcast events, sports, and activities—while ensuring safeguarding, ease of use, control, and affordability.

With SOCS TV, schools can capture content using anything from state-of-the-art cameras to mobile phones—making it easy to film on the go or during major events. All footage is securely stored on the school’s own platform, not the recording device, ensuring simple, safe, and centralised content management.

The partnership enables SOCS’s school customers - which accounts for over 85% of independent schools in the UK - to take full control of their video content, securely protected behind a registration wall. This ensures privacy, compliance, and new revenue opportunities, while enabling schools to livestream and share events, performances, and co-curricular activities on their own terms.

“Whether showcasing student achievements, broadcasting events, or enhancing learning, SOCS TV makes it simple for schools to share what matters most - safely and securely,“ comments Mike Emery, CEO, Joymo.

“This is a hugely meaningful partnership in terms of digital safeguarding. In the past, higher education partnerships have been seen as media rights or camera technology-led relationships, for Joymo and SOCS safeguarding of content has been paramount in the development of SOCS TV,” Emery added.

“As more schools film fixtures and other key events, much of this content ends up on platforms like YouTube or Vimeo and is stored on personal devices, often without the necessary consent or safeguards in place. We know how important it is to protect children’s privacy. That’s why SOCS TV puts schools fully in control.” says James Kershaw Naylor, Business Development Director, SOCS.

SOCS has built its reputation by seamlessly integrating with leading school management systems, portals, and specialist tools like Return2Play. Now, in response to school feedback, SOCS has partnered with Joymo to create a game-changing video solution for schools.

Founded in 2017, Joymo has a proven track record of delivering tailored media platforms for sports organisations across Europe, the UK, and the USA, covering sports like netball, baseball, basketball, and archery.

SOCS TV is now available for schools looking to enhance their events and sports coverage with a professional-grade streaming solution. Schools can seamlessly integrate SOCS TV within their existing SOCS ecosystem, making live and on-demand streaming effortless.
